The Earthquakers

Men named Jacob Byler, Seth Byler and Isaiah work came together in 1994 to reinvent how much fun people could have if they just left all of their cares at the door and decided to have the time of their lives. Brothers Seth and Jacob had been playing together for about a year bringing together the power rhythm that you hear every night and sometimes taken for granted for it's so smooth yet tight. Isaiah gets a call to come along and add some vocals to the mix. Along comes Micah Shetler from Western Ohio, the most powerful force in rock & roll. Everything becomes play. The Earthquakers recess!!! Rock and roll entertainment was never the same. The Earthquakers Website

28 North

What do you do when you have a house crammed full of musical instruments, notebooks overflowing with songs, and a reputation for playing radioactive live sets to fans across the U.S.? You make the purest, most intense musical statement you can muster. Recently voted 'Best Band in Pittsburgh 2010,' by Pittsburgh Magazine, 28 North has just finished tracking their fourth studio album, 'A Long Walk Home.' The group considers this album, produced under the supervision of Brooklyn based producer, Felix McTeigue, to be their finest work to date. The four members of the band — Michael Lindner, Taylor Netzler, Jonathan Colman, and Tyler Bond — have been putting on epic, crowd-pleasing shows all around Pennsylvania, and are gaining traction across the U.S, from New York to California. 28 North Website

Giant Auto Demolition Derby Tuesday, July 5th

As the green flag signals the start, the spontaneous roar of missing, un-mufflered, dilapidated automobiles, resembling the freeway rush hour and herds of stampeding elephants. The "junker's" radiators start gushing steam geysers, blown tires belch bits of burning, stinking rubber and fenders buckle under the constant banging of bumper-to-bumper collisions. Drivers circle in a frenzy and rip at hapless victims less able to maneuver.

Demolition Derby Championships start at 7:00pm

In the rush, cars overturn, some completely on their roofs. As the merciless competition dwindles, the tactics become more dramatic. The winners of these contests possess the attributes of a true showman, a bravado, recklessness, nonchalance and insanity.

Phil Vassar - Big Butler Fair - Y108 Freedom Fest

Phil Vassar’s catchy melodies are as reliable as Kenny Chesney‘s beach songs or Taylor Swift‘s breakup songs. It’s just what he does best. The ‘Just Another Day in Paradise’ singer doesn’t disappoint with his first release from the new Rodeowave Entertainment label, ‘Let’s Get Together.’

Like many of the 46-year-old’s seven Top 5 hits, ’Let’s Get Together’ combines an easy hook with a simple story and never takes a wrong turn. “Iced down coolers coolin’, tiki torches spread across the yard / It’s just past seven / And my friend Kevin is playing ‘Stairway to Heaven’ on air guitar,” he sings.
