Demolition Derby Championships Monday, July 5th

As the green flag signals the start, the spontaneous roar of missing, un-mufflered, dilapidated automobiles, resembling the freeway rush hour and herds of stampeding elephants. The "junker's" radiators start gushing steam geysers, blown tires belch bits of burning, stinking rubber and fenders buckle under the constant banging of bumper-to-bumper collisions. Drivers circle in a frenzy and rip at hapless victims less able to maneuver.

Demolition Derby Championships start at 7:00pm

In the rush, cars overturn, some completely on their roofs. As the merciless competition dwindles, the tactics become more dramatic. The winners of these contests possess the attributes of a true showman, a bravado, recklessness, nonchalance and insanity. The Demolition Derby is a JM Productions event.

Championship Double Figure "8" Racing Tuesday, July 6th

Championship Double Figure "8" Racing is a form of action racing developed a few years ago using compact cars to enhance the excitement for drivers and spectators. Utilizing smaller, lightweight cars takes on all the excitement of a full-sized Figure 8 without the danger to drivers. Jamey Johnson

He could be basking in his songwriting accolades, but Jamey Johnson remains a restlessly creative maverick. Jamey is the co–writer of the CMA and ACM 2007 Song of the Year “Give It Away,” recorded by George Strait. Trace Adkins, George Jones and Joe Nichols have also recorded his songs. But instead of sitting at home counting his royalty checks, Jamey Johnson recorded more than 40 songs during the past year. Read More

Colt Ford

Colt Ford embodies the seemingly unusual pairing of the Southern country and hip-hop musical influences that he heard growing up in small-town America just outside Athens, Georgia, not far from the new Southern hub for urban music in Atlanta. His newly styled country music is truly a blend of many American musical styles, including country, rock, hip-hop, and rhythm and blues. With this musical mixture, Colt blazes forward with a new, creative sound for the all-American everyman. Read more
